Travel, Lodging, and Parking for Atlanta Birthday Celebration

Arrive early

Traffic in Atlanta can be heavy — even on the weekend. Please try to arrive at the Church by 4:15pm to give yourself time to park and be seated. We will start the program promptly at 5:00pm.

The address of the Church is 105 Courtland St NE, Atlanta, GA 30303. If you are traveling to the Church by car or Uber, please know that the Church is located at the corner of Courtland Street and John Wesley Dobbs Avenue. The Church entrance is on John Wesley Dobbs Avenue.

If you are traveling using MARTA, you can get the North MARTA line from the airport and get off at the Peachtree Center Station. When you arrive at the Station, walk up the escalator and take the Ellis Street exit onto Peachtree Street. You will walk one block south on Peachtree and turn left onto John Wesley Dobbs Avenue. The Church is 2.5 blocks down John Wesley Dobbs Avenue on the left.

Free Parking

There will be limited free parking in the John Wesley Dobbs lot in front of the Church for early arrivers, but additional free parking is also available for this event in the CARE Parking Lot at 151 Ellis Street, one block east off Courtland Street. There will be “Event Parking” signs and a parking attendant at the Ellis Street lot to direct you to the Church. The parking is free.

Paid Parking

Because the Church Parking lot on John Wesley Dobbs has limited parking and the Ellis Street lot requires a walk that involves stairs, we suggest that you also consider the paid parking lot that is a short walk to the Church.

The paid lot is diagonal to the Church on the southwest corner of Courtland and John Wesley Dobbs. You can pay to park there, and it is a short walk across the street to the Church.

Lodging

Of course there are many options for lodging in Atlanta, but the hotels closest to the Church are the Sheraton Hotel at 165 Courtland Street, NE (404-659-6500) and the Atlanta Hilton at 255 Courtland Street, NE (404-659-2000).
