Because of Toni Morrison’s broad intellectual and artistic interest, the programming initiatives of the Society have, over the years, expanded beyond the study of her novels to a more encompassing focus that includes the political, cultural, and intellectual implications of her work in writing, teaching, and arts stewardship.
